My name is Rafael Lopez, I'm 25 and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. I love creating art filled images that tell a unique and real story. Everything I do is for Jesus Christ!
I started shooting in 2014 as a hobby just for fun, while
slowly learning new skills online and with friends. I started my business in 2018 (my senior yr of high school) and opened this instagram page in June of that year. Ever
since then, I've been focused on growing and evolving my skills, not to be better than anyone else but to make something i'm proud of.
I’ve now been creating full-time since January 2020. I began designing my studio in March of 2021 and completed the build in July. It took nearly 5 months to design, complete permit requirements, and finish the exterior and interior. Ever since then, I’ve been slowly adding props to my collection to make my studio a functional and professional place.
I love capturing memories for people: it's something so valuable to me. I'd have to say this journey has been one of the longest & most difficult learning processes I’ve ever experienced. But I would not trade my job for any other job. I absolutely love what I do, and my goal is to show that in every image I produce.
Art
I’ve always loved art ever since I was a young boy. Before Photography, some of my passions were drawing and creating 3D architecture models. I aspired to be an Artist or Architect but things changed and I found art in photography. I used my iPod or my moms digital camera to capture close ups of plants and nature, or really anything that caught my eye. One of the most important things for me in every image is a straight horizon, I cannot get past a tilted building in the background or a tilted lake. I like paying close attention to detail in my images. Symmetry is also a BIG thing for me, Everywhere I go, I’m looking for a symmetrical shot opportunity. Even in nature, I love finding a big tree in the middle of a field and framing it in my images. I sound crazy but little things like that are what I’m most proud of when looking at a gallery of finished images.
